The PONY – 2 is the bike for you if you have up to two children, need some extra cargo space and are tired of the headaches that owning a car brings. We’re talking commutes to school and work without having to find parking, ZERO-EMISSION day trips and some good old-fashioned exercise to keep you healthy. The PONY – 2 is safe, sustainable and low-maintenance! Plus, we design, manufacture and assemble it right in Denmark, so you know it is built to the highest standard. 

 

The PONY – 2 uses the Shimano STEPS e-system, which we consider the best on the market. All lights and other electronics are included when you go with a BLACK IRON HORSE cargo bike, so you’re ready to ride from day one!

Sustainability & Local Production

We use 100% recycled plastic to create the cargo box for the PONY – 2. This process makes each and every cargo box unique, so you can have a one-of-a-kind bike while also helping the environment. Furthermore, the PONY – 2 cargo box is light and durable so you have the peace of mind that your children and cargo are safe without sacrificing maneuverability.

Our frames are welded in Denmark. Our cargo boxes are moulded in Denmark. Our hoods are sewn in, you guessed it, Denmark! The plastic we recycle has been used in Denmark and we source the steel for our frames within northern Europe. Lastly, as many of our components as possible are from European companies.
